I've been working on my mail system these day. Everything works fine, except that e-mails generated locally (usually from cron to root) end no longer in /var/mail/root but go to /var/spool/mqueue where they stay as they are refused by the provider's mail-server. Outgoing e-mails are processed OK. Where should I look ? Thanks,
How about providing a sample header for us to scrutinise ?

To the original poster:
look in /etc/rc.config.d/sendmail.rc.config for the following:
# sendmail assumes the following space-separated host-names to be # the local host (this must just be used for names differrent to the # hostname, for e.g. aliases like www.nowhere.com) # SENDMAIL_LOCALHOST="localhost"
Change to SENDMAIL_LOCALHOST="localhost plant.adj.org"
After this change you must (as root) do the following:
SuSEconfig rcsendmail restart
SENMAIL_LOCALHOST was already set as above. I also found a SENDMAIL_RELAY set to "pop.free.fr" which could be the cause of my problems. I commented it out. W'll see what happens. Thanks for the tips, -- ~adj~ Ces mystères nous dépassent Feignons d'en être l'organisateur...
