I just recently decided to scrap my 7.0 and upgrade to 7.2, started with a minimal+X11 (with no KDE). Then after it was all isntalled I added the KDE2 packages and what ever else was required for dependancies. After making sure KDE would launch I upgraded all the KDE packages to 2.2.1 from the ftp install site. But I've noticed that all the application fonts are appearing larger then what they ever used to appear as at the same size values. For example, a size 10 font appears as a size 14 now, size 9 as a 13, and etc.. The fonts on the desktop appear correct as long as I don't goto the Control Center>Fonts option and press apply, at which point they become unusually huge. I've also tried removing my .kde2 directory and .kderc file which doesn't seem to change what's happening. Everything seems to be displaying overly large from the logon screen to the applications. I've even deleted all the KDE packages and reinstalled it from scratch with the same results in both KDE 2.1.1 and KDE 2.2.1 so I'm wondering if theres an X font that is missed that doesn't show up in a dependency. Because it really looks annoying. -- S.Toms - smotrs@mindspring.com - www.mindspring.com/~smotrs SuSE Linux v7.2+ - Kernel 2.4.4 panic: can't find /
