Ok......based on the following, what is the drive now.......I've had a syslink to /dev/scd0, but after this "test," I don't think I have it setup correctly. Anyone know how it should be linked now?

It's correctly set up. If you want to mount the CD(RW) you would use /dev/scd0, given that it's your first SCSI CD-ROM. To burn, use: cdrecord dev=2,0,0 speed=x -v -eject -data your_iso_image.iso ( I use -eject so it spits when ready :-) to create the iso image, take a look at mkisofs ( long and boring "--help" :) -tosi
