Had the same error when I installed SuSEfirewall2. I thought I had iptables
installed and it was not. If you are using personal edition, it is not included
with the distro, but you can download it from the ftp site. Also, you need to
have the latest version of the firewall, I believe 1.6 or you will have other
issues as I did.

I just installed SuSEfirewall2 on a 7.2 system. It cured my network card problems in that both are now working. I now get the following problem on boot up
Can't locate module ip_tables
Then it goes on to say
Perhaps iptables or your kernel need to be upgraded.
the version of iptables i use is 1.2.1a-37 and it kernel 2.4.4. all stock items in 7.2.
Any idea on how to fix this.

That should not have happened:
Maybe it needs a SuSEconfig to set right, or a depmod -a. Of course make sure iptables is installed! Its under sec I believe. Let us know if this works.
