~ be sure that you have installed: gcc compiler, binutils, and kernel source before you start. then in Console window, as <root> , do: cd /usr/src/linux .................. for a more visually elegant x-windows selection method, type: # make xconfig ......................................................... after you have selected your preferred configuration : # make dep clean bzImage next # make modules # make modules_install best wishes ____________ sent on Linux ____________
