hmm... ssl works with konqueror, I've just told konqueror the path to openssl library... konqueror coudn't find it itself. Konqueror settings > Crypto > OpenSSL (here goes the path /usr/ssl/lib/, then 'Test' and it works? ain, with kde2.2 from suse ftp
Hi Lenz,
I just talked with our main KDE maintainer and he confirmed that the RPMs on ftp.suse.com are in fact newer builds than the ones on kde.org - he cannot easily update the packages there.
Especially the kdevelop RPM on kde.org still has a little buglet (the kdevelop binary has the wrong name).
Hmm... that would explain why the KDE.org ones potentially could have SSL and the SuSE ones do not. Lenz, do you know if the lack of SSL support with the RPM's on suse.com will be fixed soon? Maybe then I will switch to the suse.com binaries...
Thanks, Tim
