Hello This appears in my system log every minute.
Aug 13 10:27:00 buffy /USR/SBIN/CRON[2403]: (mdom) CMD (/usr/bin/python -S /usr/lib/mailman/cron/qrunner)
This is caused by an entry in /usr/lib/mailman/cron/crontab.in
# Retry failed deliveries once per minute.
- /usr/bin/python -S /usr/lib/mailman/cron/qrunner
What exactly is it trying to do ? Retrying failed deliveries of what exactly ? Is it needed ?
Are you running mailing lists using Mailman? If so then the cron job is needed as it the process that handles messages as they come in. If you're not actually using Mailman, you can simply 'rpm -e mailman' or comment out the line in the crontab. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7d9EY+FOexA3koIgRAitKAJoDF+36nly/NdJg0A/LPrDMWXjQAQCgtzFj tQWrsYtkEnQIIUkgt9OWyZw= =776k -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
