yes, because StarOffice 5.2 is written so that it works like any other X application. When you highlight something..it's loading it into a buffer for pasting. Try opening an xterm or something not KDE2 and highlighting a block of text...you'll see that it behaves like this as well. :) Note: the color that the app chooses to put over the hightlight text doesn't really mean much. It's just want the programmer thought was best...as long as the desired effect of putting your selection into the buffer occurs correctly.
