Increase swap size

Hi all, I am putting more RAM in my machine and probably need to increase the swap size as a result. Is that a valid assumption - that I need to increase the size of the swap partition/slice if I put in more RAM? I am going from 256MB to 768MB. The size of the swap partition is currently 128MB.
