I need to setup a XNTPD for my SuSE 6.4 Servers (2 with OAS and 2 with DB), to sync with an internal NTP server.
I went to YAST and configure them to: Start the XNTP service, also to Sync with my internal NTP Server... but... it seems that my servers aren't sync at all...
If you set it to yes, xntpd will be started. What needs to set though are the names of time servers to sync with.
How can I setup the time between each Sync ? and how can I do a manual Sync ?
ntpdate does that, see 'man ntpdate' for further info. After having set the Linux clock, you need to call hwclock to update your CMOS clock. See 'man hwclock' for available/needed options. -- Penguins to save the dinosaurs -- Handelsblatt on Linux for S/390
