Correction, that message is on the bottom of the download page ("get it now"). Ximian has only put on 7.0 RPM's which are Glibc 2.1.3 based and 7.1 is Glibc 2.2 based..so yes they will fail. You can get Gnome 1.4 RPM's from the SuSE FTP site..if you want Ximian..then I guess you have to wait the couple weeks until they get around to it. The deal is that SuSE pissed off a few people at Ximian sometime ago by not joining the Gnome Foundation after a pledge was made to do so..and so they take their sweet time doing anything when it comes to SuSE. The world sees SuSE as having taken sides with KDE. I fought for a better relationship with then Helix Code when I worked at SuSE, but was shot down left and right. SuSE feels the best way to keep control is to make all RPM's themselves and if one installs software put together by someone else..your on your own. I gave up on that fight long ago..and there's just no use bitching about it anymore. It's sad. I would just wait.
