Yeah, they posted a bunch of newer RPM's and a bunch of RPM's for software I had been looking at such as KwiX..I think it takes themes..if it's just *a* theme..I guess that's cool, but why would one have to compile it? Weird. I guess I shall wait an see. :)
The reason it requires compiling AFAIK, is that KWin's new theming system (or rather style system) isn't pixmap based, but module/plugin based. This is best demonstrated in that KwiX will use what ever system colors you choose, and further more, plugins like BII can actually move the title bar location dynamically (try taking two regular sized windows, and maximizing them while using BII for a demo). In otherwords, if one wanted to, you could literally create say an Enlightment style that would look and work like Enlightenment.
