Has anyone gotten a Visor to sync in 7.1? I had it working in 6.4 just fine, but I can't seem to do it in 7.1.
Here are the specifics:
- - The 'visor' module loads and the Visor shows up in /proc/bus/usb/devices. - - I can open /dev/ttyUSB0 if I press the hotsync button first - - When I press the hotsync button, the light for that port on my hub turns on - - pilot-xfer, Kpilot, and Jpilot do not work, I used to use Jpilot just fine - - If I cat /dev/ttyUSB0 after I press hotsync, I get nothing, even on subsequent hotsync presses
I figured out that the new Visor driver uses two serial ports, not one like before. Basically, ttyUSB0 is fo 'general' use and ttyUSB1 is for HotSync. I changed the link and it now works. Yay! Next thing to do: install LinkUSB and get an internet connection for my Visor... - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE63KRz+FOexA3koIgRAlAMAJ9iv5F6A4vpIyp9V9JSs2AEB68xsQCfSGtj xewK0rvjCW1zMgQJfUyKh2A= =FIXU -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
