I've the same problem when trying to install the lucent modem on my Acer 734 notebook, on both 2.2.18 and 2.4.0 kernel. Even with the help from Chris Reeves, I'm unable to get it to work. : ( Do drop me a note if you found any solution, thanks. Dennis/sg

When trying to compile the latest lucent winmodem driver I get an error stating 'ltmodem.o was compiled for kernel version 2.4.0 while this kernel is version 2.4.0-4GB'.
Is there a way to change the version number ?
