I tried the sound card setup in yast2 and it detects Fortmedia Inc, Xwave Q83000A [FM801] and hit the next button and displayed a message "The Kernel Module snd-card-fm801 for sound support could not be loaded." My suse copy is just a single cd i think this is an ISO copy.
I've got Jaton SonicWave-SR4 PCI sound card with FM801 chip on it. The system is 7.1 with kernel 2.4.2, alsa version 0.5.10-5. I did sound setup from yast2. Sound just works. -Kastus
