Nice Beast, dude. I too just recently installed 7.1 on my bad ass home-built machine and love it.
I especially love the stickers I can put all over my case!
I think everything's set up and ready to go. Go where? I don't know. I've downloaded and installed the new kdevelop ide and it's sweet, maybe I'll start writing some cool apps?
(The only thing I can't get working is the darn wheel on the wheel mouse, any ideas?)
Interesting that you should mention that. YaST selected my M$ Intellisense wheel PS/2 mouse without even bringing a mouse dialog up. The same thing happened with the ATI R128 AGP video drive. It did give me a dialog for the monitor. My mfg and type were listed so it was an easy choice. KDE2 came up beautifully and the mouse pointer and buttons worked fine, although the wheel didn't. So, I decided to fix the sound and ran YaST2 from the Control Center as me (user, not root). It switched to root and brought up SAX2 (I think) and that is when the problems started. It seems that SAX2 when run from an initial install can probe and identify mice and video drivers ok, but when run from the control center it can't. As it now stand, no mouse selection works and when KDE2 comes up the mouse jams into the upper right corner and stays there. Then I can't cycle throught desktop menus with the tab key, so I end up having to cntrl-alt-backspace to kill the xserver in order to regain control. I got a regular PS2 mouse to try out. The saga continues. JLK
