That's almost what the personal edition is--the handbook is
True. What I did differently, was suggest that users get all of the CDS (7) + the DVD (1), but receive absolutely no documentation other than a simple 2-3 pg. pamphlet (i.e. "Insert CD into drive, follow prompts, thank-you for buying SuSE!") Then sell it for the same price as the personal edition (approx). Call it the "you are on your own" version or something... It would cost more than the Cheapbytes CDs, but it would have the nice advantage of including the DVD, and packaging it all in a nice jewel case (like 6.1 had).
I suggested something similar when the discussions for splitting into the distribution in "Personal" and "Professional" were going on since, if I were a customer, that's what I'd want to buy. No one really liked the idea... -- Cheers, Christopher Mahmood --------------------------------------------------------------- SuSE Inc., Tel: +1-510-628-3380, x5024 580 Second St., Suite 210 Fax: +1-510-628-3381 Oakland CA 94607 Public Key: USA http://www.suse.com/~ckm/key.gpg ---------------------------------------------------------------
