Think Tank Warns That Microsoft Hack Could Pose National Security Risk!
The Center for Strategic and International Studies says users should worry about the 'trustworthiness' of future Microsoft products in the aftermath of a hack into the company's network. Microsoft strongly disagrees.

How many percents of change does this hack make? <g>
100% I followed the link to the 70+ page CSIS report (a pdf) and read it. It stated that not only did the Russian hackers from hackzone.ru download all the WinXX source code, they downloaded code for products that haven't even been announced yet!!! I think this report will trigger a massive move of US government offices away from WinXX to Linux.. Many other governments are already making such a move if, for no other reason, they don't want their entire operational status dependent on the whim of one OS controlled by one man. Smart move. Now, we can only hope our politicians (US) aren't so greedy as to throw away national security for bribes or other "considerations". From what we've seen in the last 10 years it is doubtful they could rise to the need. I hear the bells tolling for M$..... The report also says that the Internet is the battle front for new cyberwarriors of the old xUSSR countries and they, like hackers from mid-East countries, are starting an electronic holy war ("eJihad") against the USA and capitalism in general. President Putin is supporting this approach. He has even taken to playing the old USSR anthem at the opening of each meeting of the Duma. Looks like there are glowing coals in the ashes of the old cold war fire. They are even more dangerous now than before, because their infrastructure and the general morals and ethics of their culture have declined considerable since the USSR collapsed. What makes them dangerous is they control a considerable nuclear arsenal, or rather, they lack suitable controls and restraints. Putin, because of agreements with VP Al Gore, has been selling fusion grade nuclear material to mid-East countries and some are now reporting that Saddam has built a workable nuclear weapon! Can Iran be far behind? This puts the focus of history back where it was two thousand years ago, the Temple Mount in Jeruselum, sacred ground to both the Jews and the Muslims. The Jews believe that a new Temple will be built on the site of the old one. To do that they need to remove the Masque that occupies that location. If that action is attempted it will mean war. If the Muslims gain access to nuclear capability the odds of a detonation in that region become 100%. We live in some amazing times...

-- Scientific theories, according to Sir Karl Popper, can be "falsified," or proven wrong, by experiment. Unscientific theories -Marxist dialectical history and Freudian psychology were Popper's favorites- are formed in such a way that they cannot be falsified by data.
