There is a kernel for this card in the update section (kernel/promise) of
ftp.suse.com. Make a boot disk from the eide image and try reinstalling
using the bootdisk you created.

one of my users has a new pc (asus a7v/ata100/ibm ata100 drive) that he is
trying to install 7.0 onto. when the installer boots from cdrom he gets an
error about no disks responding. my understanding from SDB is that the
promise
100 is supported. what are we doing wrong?
