Two things, Do a - grep access /etc/sendmail.cf to see if you have enable the access option. Should be by default. It should say Kaccess hash -o /etc/mail/access.db (among other things) Also, did you restart sendmail? rcsendmail restart In /etc/mail/access try somthing like hotmail.com 550 Reject - all mail from hotmail is treated as spam. yahoo.com 550 Reject - all mail from yahoo is treated as spam. foo@bar.com 550 Bog orf... then makemap -v hash /etc/mail/access < /etc/mail/access Should work ok. Bruce.
Hi, I have put this in my /etc/mail/access:
foo@bar.com REJECT
After, I have made $ makemap hash access < access for rebuild my access.db and I have restarted sendmail but foo@bar.com can still send me e-mails. Why ???
If I run fetchmail with verbose option I can see that his messatge is correctly deliverated to my machine.
Thanks a lot, I hate this spammer !
PD: Using original fetchmail and sendmail from SuSE 6.4
