That means that you don't have installed the E-sound libraries. or that the
linker can't find them. "-lesd" means libesd.so for the linker.
Check that you have installed the esound package from the snd series or that
the /etc/ld.so.conf contains the path to your installed esd libraries (if you
did it with the sources tarball).
