I am trying to set up a Linux box to be a proxy for my Internet connection via cable modem.
I am using SuSE 6.4.
Here is the output if I do an ifconfig. Two questions about it follows:

Question 1:
The HWaddr of eth1 is not being read in correctly. The real numbers are 00:60:B0:1D:36:64. The DOS utility that came with the card to flash its memory (for address, DMA, IRQ, etc.) displayed the correct address (confirmed by looking at the numbers on the card myself).
How can I get Linux to read the number correctly?
Question 2:
Other than the HWaddr of eth1, is there anything else that looks funny? I showed the ifconfig output to a friend and he thought that the RUNNING MULTICAST on eth1 looked fishy. Can someone tell me if this looks right for what I want to do, and if not, inform me on how I can correct it?
I don't know for your hardware address error but for the RUNNING MULTICAST all
seems correct. I've got quite the same output for my internal network
interface and all works just fine.
