I wanted to install XFCE 3.44 on my SuSE 6.3 system. The RPM required libjpeg.so.62, so, I installed the rpm from 6.4 directory on the ftp site. XFCE installed and works fine except when trying to display a jpeg, when an error is returned stating: Wrong JPEG library version: library is 62, caller expects 61
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Bad move -- installing a 6.4 rpm on a 6.3 system. The two systems are built on different library versions, so incompatibilities must show up. You could: 1) Update your whole system to 6.4, or 2) Build Xwindows from source, using libjpeg.so.62. -- Never trust a man in a suit -- cll -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
