If your using Netscape for email also them that's probably your problem. I've heard that there was a Netscape problem in 6.4. You should get the upgrade at SuSE.
i've another problem, my sound card was initially ok, then my system hang, so i just reset the computer.
Before you do this try to hit <CTL><ALT><Backspace> and that should kill X for you. Or <ALT><F1> to get to another terminal login and type "killall -9 netscape" to kill netscape.
when it's on again it says that the sound card module fail...the only changes i made was going to /etc/lilo.conf & type lilo (without changing lilo.conf). how should i bring it up again?
Try going into root and running alsaconf again.
