Just had this problem and this is what cures it (courtesy of someone else) This is from the syslog daemon (syslogd) the default is 20 min. Change with syslogd -m(interval) Zero will shut it off. See also man syslogd.
It's hardly a problem. I think most people would be alarmed if these messages *stopped* appearing.
-- Well, in my case, I thought it was causing my machine to beep at me (turns out it was the idle daemon) which WAS a problem because I'm so easily..............................ummm..................distracted.
