Hello people,
I'm not sure anyone on this list can answer my question, or even if I can phrase it correctly, but here goes.
It is possible to bring up a remote console here on this CRT, rlogin or telnet to my SuSE Linux box, and bring up xdm remotely? I would like to run my SuSE box headless--without its CRT and keyboard. I'll save the setup in back on the computer for the devices in case I ever need a console, of course. But I'd like to free up my desk space and do everything from one CRT.
The xdm man page seems to indicate that it is possible to bring up xdm from another host, but I may have misread something. Any X wizards on the list who can help?
thanks much,
gary
Gaey, look into vnc. I have never used it myself but from what I hear this may fit your bill. cheers, Alex. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
