This is probably really stupid, but I am very tired and can't figure it out. How do I assign an IRQ to my mouse? The PS2 port is found, but no IRQ. (should be 12) It is lifeless in the middle of my screen. I have disabled sound so it is not a conflict as far as I can tell. XF86Config looks fine and the sw_cursor option is uncommented. (I've tried it both ways) The mouse works when I boot to windows. The story is much longer than this, but you don't want to know. ;-) Someone jog my memory, please. Thanks
It's more a shot in the dark. I'd start searching in the system BIOS, there are all the options I do not trust, like "Plug and Pay OS installed", that affect (?!) the availability of IRQ's and other system resources. Make sure, the mouse is activated there too. (Don't ask me how windows assigns an IRQ if not). Have a look where IRQ 12 goes as well. Juergen
