Did you install TSE3? Do you have the same problem with others MIDI players? Luis Pablo Gasparotto Greg Thomas wrote:

Hi all,
IŽve found what IŽm looking for: A musical notation software that can:
import midi files
export midi files
export musixtex
play the score with PCI 512 MIDI synth, high lighting the current note
use repetition bars
use special endings
assign independent MIDI channels and MIDI programs to all staffs
and more...
ItŽs the best musical notation software that I know.
You can get it on:

This looks very promising. I installed it and it runs but again, I get litte or no sound out of my card. I have an AWE32, alsa-0.5.8-3, all my mixer settings look fine, in noteedit the device I am using is MIDI 0-0 (it's the only Midi device that appears to work), but all I get is a distorted, very quiet sound when I play the samples. I've got the awe utilities but even with the awe utilities I can't get test notes to play using "sfxtest X p 56 n 60 127 t 200 K 60".
Do you have any additional tips on getting my midi to work?
Thanks, Greg
