I have an old Packard Bell P60 with 16MB of RAM, no hard drive, no CD-ROM, a floppy disk, and two Linksys 10/100 (tulip) PCI NICs. Works like a champ on my ADSL/DHCP network. :)
I didn't have much luck with Coyote since I had two different types of NIC (a tulip and a real-something) on a P100 with 32MB. After several nights of trying to get it to work, I discovered that I really needed the CD version in order to do what I wanted it to do. So I decided to shoe-horn SuSE 6.3 into a 500MB drive (not easy!) and properly configured the NICs. Had no problem whatsoever over the last two months since I got DSL line.
