Hello, Guys!
dd if=/dev/zero of=/mydir/myfile bs=1024 count=10000
mkfs -t ext2 /mydir/myfile
mount /mydir/myfile /mnt -o loop
maybe it's the order of the last command. I kept doing the same here, I issued mount -text2 -o loop /mydir/myfile /mnt. Juergen PS: make sure the loop device is supported by your kernel. Stock SuSE kernels work. -- =========================================== __ _ Juergen Braukmann juergen.braukmann@gmx.de| -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Tel: 0201-743648 dk4jb@db0qs.#nrw.deu.eu | /\ /__/ / _ / // /\ / / ===========================================__v __/_/_//_/_,_/ /_/_\ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
