Hi Samy! I have a problem with wvdial in that pppd is running in demand mode which I need to disable. My isp's radius server is buggy and doesn't give out it's IP address unless you say that it is using a fake ip (ie 10.0.0.1) which will then force it to give a correct ip. I have managed to get past this slightly but still hitting another error: chat[602]: Can't get terminal parameters: Invalid argument Not sure what the problem is. I do have pppd running in d-o-d but I need to know the remote IP address in case of errors. Sean On Sun, 25 Jun 2000, Samy Elashmawy wrote:
Use wvdial , you will need to follow the instructions in the component/tech database , but do not use the scripts in the english version.
USE the ones from the german version , they work , the english ones dont (allegidly the formating is off) , and follow the instruction in the english one.
Just do a search on wvdial on the support databse , there were only three dos , one of them on dod / dial on demand with wvdial.
You can get the german one at http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/en/html/hoe_wv_perm_tty.html save it to disk and copy the scripts , or delete all the html and rename the file.

Slip is compiled into the kernel.
