You will need a Windows ssh client. I believe there is on on their web site: ( www.ssh.org ). When I worked out at Scott AFB in Illinois they had an old Windows client called F-Secure ( www.datafellows.com ) using the SSH1 client and connected to a server running SSH1. From what I have seen the client from ssh.org might just be worth the $$. HTH

I want to enable user level (not root) access to the machine via ftp. I want the logins encrypted, not the actual data.
ssh is the only way to do this - I assume 'ftp' is a typo? ftp - file
transfer protocol - is only for transfering data files not shell access.
I share the server with an associate. We trade work files via ftp. In my case, secure telnet would be nice, but secure ftp is the main goal.
I think it's mostly installed correctly, but I don't know how to utilize it from, say, a Windows client.
thanks!
