As best I can tell, RAID1 under raidtools 0.90 is broken with the 2.2.14 kernel in SuSE Linux 6.4. Specifically, I get a "bad superblock magic" error in the first volume used in the RAID1 disks. The exact same raidtab works RedHat 6.2 and raidtools 0.90. I asked about this on linux-raid@vger.rutgers.com and the general consensus was that the RAID1 code in the kernel (e.g., raid1.c) needed to be patched. Does anyone have RAID1 working with 2.2.14 and raidtools 0.90? FWIW, I can get RAID0 to work consistently.
