I'm trying to execute a script under cron - for test purposes I set up a
little scriptlet first to do nothing more than write a file with the
current time in it's name. The scriptlet runs manually (produces the file
in my home fine) but does not appear to run under cron. I set the run time
to be every minute for ease of tracing, editing with kcrontab. Cron sees
the changes - /var/log/messages shows cron reloading - but I can't for the
life of me see why the test script fails to run.
Help!!
TIA,
paul.
