Hi, I have a problem printing to a Xerox Docuprint N17, a PostScript printer with a network card. Manual configuration using yast didn't work (lpq gave a daemon not found warning), so I downloaded the driver from the Xerox website. This didn't work either: their documentation claims only support for RedHat though (without a word about whether it should also work for other distributions). My printcap file now includes the following lines: # \ :rm=10.3.246.128:\ :rp=lpd:\ :sd=/var/spool/lpd/PS_600dpi-a4-ascii-mono-600: # \ :rm=10.3.246.128:\ :rp=lpd:\ :sd=/var/spool/lpd/PS_600dpi-a4-auto-mono-600: # \ :rm=10.3.246.128:\ :rp=lpd:\ :sd=/var/spool/lpd/PS_600dpi-a4-raw: # ### END apsfilter: ### PS_600dpi a4 mono 600 ### _xtq1_:lp=/var/spool/lpd/_xtq1_/.printer:sd=/var/spool/lpd/_xtq1_:mx#0:if=/usr/Xerox/xpxx/XeroxXSF: \ :rm=10.3.246.128:\ :rp=lpd:\ :sd=/var/spool/lpd/Xerox: I assume the last section is my work in Yast, the ones containing PS_600... are from the Xerox setup utility. Any ideas?
