Hi,
I got two PCs set up with SuSE 6.2 and 2.2.15. They are basically identical.
I installed [by own compile] alsa sound. Both run fine. Machine 1 has ens1370 and machine 2 has emu10k1.
I pulled down latest xmms and installed it on machine 1. I did ./configure --with-gnome=no
It does install xmms _with_mikmod plugin on machine 1.
I did the same on machine 2 but it does not install mikmod plugin. It cannot detect libmikmod even though it is installed. I been sitting on this since days. I compared the lib packages on both machines and they are the same. The error on xmms compile is this:
$ ./configure --with-gnome=no . . . checking for libmikmod-config... (cached) no checking for libmikmod - version >= 3.1.5... no *** The libmikmod-config script installed by libmikmod could not be found *** If libmikmod was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in *** your path, or set the LIBMIKMOD_CONFIG environment variable to the *** full path to libmikmod-config. . . .
I got libmikmo.rpm (3.1.6 installed)
Can somebody help? Why can't it detect my libmikmod???
Have you tried deleting the .config.cache file? If you're still having problems, you could run configure with the help option ('./configure --help') to see if there's any options/parameters that you can add to specify the location of the libraries.
