Have a look at elm.
I used to have to send coursework automatically from a script which invoked
elm to send from the command line.
It was along the lines of
elm -A -----Original Message-----
From: Graham K. Dodd [mailto:doddg@falk-ross.com]
Sent: 16 May 2000 13:57
To: Suse (E-mail)
Subject: [SLE] Command line emailing Hi Linuxer's does anybody know how to send an email from the prompt and
attach a file (as an attachment, NOT included in the email) I need my Linux server to get a data file from the RS6000
(AIX 4.3.2) and email it to another location. The scripts
written in Perl, but I cannot get the file attached to the email thanks,
