I was just trying to re-compile my 2.2.14 kernel for my SuSE 6.4... but when I tried there was not make file there to compile with so I got the error msg. unknow command. I found the dir /usr/src/linux in there is /include/ and a whole lot of sub dir.'s with /asm-blah.blah.blah like /asm-i386
so am i looking in the wrong place? if this is not what I'm looking for does someone know where on the CD's is the kernel source? or rpm's I need?
The kernel sources are installed in /usr/src/linux. If you only find an includes/ directory there, then the sources are not installed. In this case, start up YaST and install package 'lx_suse' which is in series 'd'.
