That depends on which release of SuSE you're talking about. If you're installing 6.3, stick with YaST1 (CD2 or floppy). If, however, you're talking about SuSE 6.4, YaST2 seems to work well. I've only done three installations with YaST2/6.4, but it has done a great job all three times.
