Agreed - Security is priority. That is like that time on yahoo chat where someone posted their IP, guest user name and password and betted that no-one could bring his system down. He also allowed guest users to use gcc. Bad idea :) $ echo "main() { for(;;) fork(); }" > /tmp/blat.c $ cc -i /tmp/blat.c -o /tmp/emacs.core $ rm /tmp/blat.c $ /tmp/emacs.core [ phut :) - and it cleaned itself up untracably on RH 6 reboot ] We are now friends after he learned this grave and potentially fatal security lesson. Moral of the story. Don't give people an opportunity to access your system - not your friends, relatives, enemies or colleagues. They'll break something and/or cause trouble... Login scripts like the one you want are blatant suicide - even within private, isolated networks.
