Hi all, After running SuSE 5.3 for a long time, I decided to install 6.1 and then I tried 6.3. I have a Logitech PS/2 wheelmouse which worked just fine in vs. 5.3, both in GPM and the KDE desktop. I was convinced that I should keep-up-with the Jonse's and upgrade, Sorry I tried :). When I installed 5.3 it found the mouse with out any input from me! When I upgraded to 6.1 and then tried 6.3, I can't seem to find a driver for it. I used XF86Setup in the Mouse section I've tried the following drivers, PS/2, NetmousePS/2, NetScrollPS/2, ThinkingMousePS/2, MouseManPlusPS/2 and GlidePointPS/2 without any luck. All the drivers want to use the /dev/psaux mouse driver. In 5.3 I had the 3 button emulation enabled and I've tried to install it the same way on 6.1 & 6.3. I did a "gpm -k" prior to running XF86Setup as well as before I try to run "startx". OH, the mouse doesn't soperate under gpm either. The error message I get after "startx" dies is: error message, Fatal server error: Cannot open mouse (Operation not supported by device). I would like to upgrade to 6.3 then maybe 6.4, but, I might have to return to 5.3 :) :) Sure hope to get some feedback on what I'm not doing or understanding. Thanks in advance, Don...
