What should I do to mount a samba volume being a normal user in samba ? I use last update of samba from SuSE 6.3. In fstab I use user,username=..,password=... . If I'm root all is OK. I tried to suid mount, smbmount, but doesn't work. What can I do ?
It's not smbmount that needs to be suid, instead you need to suid /usr/bin/smbmnt. ^^^ One other thing - make sure you have the relevant permissions for the mount point.
