Could someone please tell me which standard kernel I should use for CD-writing with SuSE 6.2 when IŽm using an IDE-burner? I have tried for several days now, getting my HP CD-Writer Plus 8250i (IDE) working as an ATAPI device, but canŽt. I can load sg and ide-scsi, but in the end /dev/scd0 is not recognized as a block device, IŽm told. Is this made any easier with SuSE 6.4? I see a lot about "easier hardware recognition" at SuSEŽs website, when looking for information about the 6.4 version. Thanks in advance.
