[SLE] Intel 486 DX2 processor and 2.2.14 kernel?

Hello Linux folks! Does somebody know if Intel 486 DX2 PC will work with Linux 2.2.14 kernel? Can I use electronic parallel port swith to connect three printers to this PC? I want to use this junk PC as my network printer server. Any suggestions are gladly appreciated.
