I am pleasently suprised! First, Kmail is doing everyting I asked Netscape to do and more, but it is doing it faster and with no problems. (Thanks to Buddy and Don for their help in the multi-user problem) When a URL is embedded in an email message clicking on it causes Kfm to go to that URL and display it. I maximize kfm and hide the tree panel. Secondly, Kfm is a FAST and excellent web browser with an unintended but nice side effect: no ads! With no java support the ads can't pop up! While I haven't explored operability with realplayer I have noticed that many of the images and and animated gifs play as is, and very quickly. For example, the NEAR Shoemaker flyby video on CNN's space page display nearly instantly in a smooth movie of the flyby. On most pages with 'screenshots' I simply right mouse and slelect kimage to display, very quickly, screenshots. Downloading is a snap and also very fast. I downloaded a 1.7MB Xephem upgrade in just a vew seconds (ADSL) by clicking the right mouse button on the tar and selecting copy on the popup menu. I opened the left panel directory tree and right clicked on the desired destination and selected paste from the popup menu. Fast. I haven't tried any .asp pages yet, but I'm not sure I would care, anyway.
