have you tried installing the driver in yast - hardware - network card , then pick the driver and iobas and irq if needed. You can get this from windoiws by right clicking my computer and then selecting properties. You may also need to use a dos utility to set the card to the correct values for cable type , irq and io address. At 07:51 AM 3/17/2000 -0800, Graeme Robinson wrote:
I'm having trouble getting SuSE6.3 to install my pci ethernet controller. The card works fine under Windos and RedHat.
It is found by the system. Under System Information it appears as: Bus 0 , device 8, function 0: Ethernet controller: Realtek 8029(rev 0) (this is correct model) Medium devsel IRQ 5 I/O at something indecipherable
But not under ifconfig: ifconfig lo Link encap:Local Looback etc
ie not eth0!
When I try to install using ifconfig I get the error eth0 not found
Advice appreciated.
