Thanks to Vitor Demeter and Kirk Moore for suggestions on how to avoid having to use sax every time in order to get the mouse to work, but I'm still stuck.
You could type /etc/rc.d/gpm
I tried "/etc/rc.d/gpm start" and got the message "restarting console mouse support" but then after using startx, the mouse does not work in X. After using sax it works OK. BTW, when getting out of X without using the mouse, is there a more elegant way than CTRL-ALT-Backspace? It seems rather brutal to shut it down like that. ---------------------------------------------- Charles Rathbone San Francisco, California Voice & fax: 415-928-7347 Email: hccr@thecity.sfsu.edu ---------------------------------------------- -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
