Does anyone have any experience using any of the Creative Labs Modems? Specificially I'm looking at getting the FlashII 56K external, and I'd like to verify that no one is having problems with it.
I have not used that specific modem, but almost all non-USB modems I've seen work just fine, including a handful of Creative models that I've worked on. As long the external modem connects to a physical serial port (configured by the BIOS) and uses standard RS232 wires with at least a subset of the Hayes AT command set, you should be just fine ;). - -- - -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x121 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V - -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.3 for non-commercial use http://www.pgp.com iQA/AwUBOMDohGcEf2EJ+vWKEQLygwCfYF+1ILaJ6POy6hJ2BOmw/wWKt0MAn2I+ EiUoHZghhV/jz6MrkePjR7lX =ZOM+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
