Hello Linux folks! Yesterday I bought Brother HL-1240 laser jet printer for my Linux box. It supports PCL4 and HP LJ IIP emulations. This Brother printer has its own 600x600 resolution but in Linux it prints only in 300x300 resolution. Is there any way to increase 300x300 printing resolution for this printer to its native 600x600 resolution? By the way, one step up from HL-1240 - HL-1250 has 1200x600 printing resolution and supports PCL6 emulation. What is a difference between PCL4 and PCL6 emulations? Does PCL6 supports greater printing resolution than PCL4 or it's irrelevant issue? Thanks for any comments or advices.
