Yes, there are differences, but as I pointed out the gap is drawing closer. Linux Support in the industry (meaning Oracle,E-commerce) is by and large supporting Linux more each week. It was that I could go into Level 3, Qwest, or Exodus and see wall to wall Ultra2's, enterprise xxx, and a handful of Intel-NT boxes. Now in the last 12 months I see 25-40% of the gear Linux-Intel Boxes, especially New Start-ups. What I am saying is that the differences while there, are indeed becoming less. And Linux is definitely the rising choice in both Collocation as is On-Site File-Print-DB-DNS-Mail-Web Services
I'm not disputing that at all :). As a matter of fact, how much food I have on my table is directly proportional to how many of those U*X and NT boxen are displaced by Linux counterparts, if you know what I mean ;). I was just trying to re-focus the answers to the narrow question at hand, or perhaps to assist Yatsen in properly broadening his questions to get a better answer. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
